ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A St. Pete tattoo artist is offering a helping hand to people who are living with regret after getting a racist tattoo.

Fredo of Fredo Ink and Co. put out a post on social media offering to cover any hate tattoo for free.

Fredo says they’ve received numerous requests, including one from a wife whose husband got a swastika at a family party – along with the rest of his family.

It’s a move he began to regret as soon as the alcohol began to wear off.

Fredo calls this offer a community service, helping people match how they look with how they feel.

“A lot of people have racism in their past where something bad happened in the past, and now they have a mark on them that lasts forever," he explained. "And racism doesn't have to last forever like a tattoo does. So we make the change for them.”
