LUTZ, Fla. -- A woman has been charged with arson after setting fire to her estranged husband's home, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

Firefighters responded early Saturday to a two-alarm fire at a residence on Turtle Lakes Road in Lutz.

The house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

Brandi Currigan, 40, was at the house at the time of the fire. She told authorities she was moving out after separating from her husband, who is in Iraq working for a private security company.

Deputies said before setting the fire, Currigan painted graffiti on the walls inside and outside the home. She also poured paint throughout the home, according to deputies.

Currigan was arrested at the scene. She was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the time of her arrest, deputies said.
