A 37-year-old man was arrested Friday night after officials said he hit a Pinellas County Sheriff's deputy and took off.

Anthony Hanna, 37, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury/property damage and driving under the influence with injury/property damage.
The crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on Jan. 5 at 62nd Avenue North and 28th Street North in St. Petersburg.
According to the report, Deputy Darryl Martin was stopped at the intersection of 62nd Ave. and 28th St.--in his marked agency vehicle--waiting to turn southbound onto 28th Street, when a westbound Buick Regal struck the sheriff's vehicle from behind.
Officials said the Buick fled the scene, and according to the report, three witnesses followed the Buick to a home off 61st Avenue North, where Hanna was arrested.
Officials said Deputy Martin was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Speed and impairment appear to be factors in the crash, the report stated. And Hanna had a blood alcohol concentration level of .036/.039.
The crash remains under investigation.
