  • Man inside townhouse not seriously injured

According to Clearwater police, the crash happened just before 9 p.m. at a townhome on Abbey Crescent Lane.

Police said the man was driving his truck on McMullen Booth Road across from Ruth Eckerd Hall when he suffered a medical episode and passed out. The truck hopped a curb, went through a fence and crashed into the townhome.

The crash remains under investigation.
