The legal aid bus was parked outside the Red Lion Hotel where many of the residents forced to evacuate Good Samaritan are now living temporarily.

There are two private office spaces on the bus where attorneys are working pro-bono with the people who reached out for assistance.

Attorney Jeffrey Hussey said about 100 residents have reached out to Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida for help, and he’s been able to work nearby to offer them that assistance for free.

“We’re almost a month out from the storm now and so many of the residents of the Good Samaritan Society still have not gotten their questions answered,” said Hussey.

Spectrum News 13 received the following statement from Aimee Middleton, Good Samaritan Society Vice President of Operations:

"We are working with residents to obtain assistance and resources through FEMA, the Red Cross and other agencies. We are also communicating with residents about relief programs such as Transitional Shelter Assistance, which allows people to book hotel accommodations."
