PASCO COUNTY

Pasco County now has four, self-serve sandbag stations open throughout the county to help protect your property from potential flooding. Sand and bags are available at the following locations:

These locations are open 24 hours to Pasco County Residents. The county will provide sandbags, but you will have to bring your own shovel to fill your bags.  Sand restock will happen between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (HAS CLOSED FOR THE DAY)

HERNANDO COUNTY

A limited supply of sandbags will be available starting July 3 through July 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at this location: (HAS CLOSED FOR THE DAY)

The City of Brooksville has opened their self-service sandbag site at the DPW facility located at 600 S. Brooksville Ave.  The site is located just north of the facility.  This staiton will have bags, sand and shovels provided.  People are being asked to leave the shovels at the site for others to use after them.  The site will be opened 24-hours a day.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

County residents can get up to 10 sandbags from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the following locations: (HAS CLOSED FOR THE DAY)

In addition, the City of Tampa has sandbag locations set up from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at these locations: (HAS CLOSED FOR THE DAY)


Thousands of sandbags have been distributed so far at these locations.

Tampa residents are limited to 10 bags per family and should bring an ID such as a drivers license or utility bill to verify their residency.

Temple Terrace

Distribution will resume on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sandbags are reserved for residents of Temple Terrace who must show a valid ID or recent utility bill that includes a Temple Terrace address. The station will be self-service with bags, shovels and sand provided. Assistance is available for the elderly or persons with disabilities. There is a limit of 10 sandbags per vehicle.

PINELLAS COUNTY

St. Petersburg is offering 10 free self-serve sandbags to residents at the following locations (Click for directions): 

The City of Gulfport will make sandbags available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 3rd and 4th at the 49th Street Neighborhood Center located (Click for directions)  (HAS CLOSED FOR THE DAY)

There's a 10-bag limit and proof or residency may be required.

Meanwhile, Pinellas County will make sandbags available for unincorporated Pinellas residents Tuesday morning at
Walsingham Park in Seminole and John Chesnut Sr. Park in Palm Harbor.

Distribution will be from 7 a.m. to noon, if supplies last. The County distributed more than 4,200 sandbags from those locations on Monday. (HAS CLOSED FOR THE DAY)

Sandbags are recommended for residents who are vulnerable to flooding from rainfall. They are not recommended for storm surge from bay or tidal waters.

Please note that Pinellas County Parks will close at noon Tuesday.

Sandbags will be available for Clearwater residents on a first-come, first-served basis at the vacant lot at 761 Pierce St. until 4 p.m. or until supplies run out.

There is a 10-bag limit and proof of residency may be required. Please bring a shovel in case the city-provided shovels are unavailable. Properly placed and stacked sandbags are recommended for residents who are vulnerable to flooding from rainfall; they are not a deterrent against storm surge from bay or tidal waters.

POLK COUNTY

MANATEE COUNTY

Self-serve sandbags are available from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the County Stormwater Facility. (Click for directions)

Beginning Tuesday morning, Manatee County Public Works Department will be providing sandbags (limit 10 per household) at three locations around Manatee County. Each site will open at 8 a.m. and will continue to operate as long as the weather permits. Residents should plan to show an ID or Manatee County Utilities Department water bill indicating they are a resident of Manatee County. Visit www.mymanatee.org/sandbags for more information.
 

CITRUS COUNTY

Citrus County sandbag sites will open Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 8:00am and remain open until further notice.

The locations are as follows:

  • 4210 S Grandmarch Ave, Homosassa (Near Grover Cleveland Blvd)
  • 7500 W Gulf to Lake Hwy, Crystal River (Near Dan’s Clam Stand – on opposite side of road)
