FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. – Real estate agents say it is too early to tell just what impact the coronavirus has had on the market, but say it likely has impacted new home listings.

The Winston-Salem Regional Association of Realtors reported new listings fell by more than 29 percent in April and almost 20 percent in May.

"I think there are people out there, in fact, that aren't listing their homes because they're concerned about individuals coming in their home," John McPherson, President of WSRAR, said.

He said some homes have between 30 and 40 offers.

McPherson also said this indicates a brisk market but shortage of inventory.
