WORCESTER, Mass. - Sunday is March 14, or, Pi Day, and Table Talk Pies is celebrating a little differently this year.

The Worcester staple hosted what they're describing as a "first of its kind" virtual pie baking class on Saturday.

Table Talk sold more than 200 pie kits, which included pie crusts as well as apple and blueberry filling.

The course was taught by Research and Development Manager Jeff Warren, who has made a few pies in his day.

Warren said, "So, I have been at Table Talk since 1999. I have been here a long time and some of my first jobs was making the pie filling and the dough in huge kettles. It kind of reminded me of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. So now, for me to be able to teach a class on assembling a pie and playing around with the filling I think is real cool for the kids."

Table Talk will open their Pie Store on Green Street on Sunday, March 14 from 10 AM to 2 PM to celebrate Pi Day.  They haven't opened on a Sunday in about a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
