WORCESTER, Mass. - Camera crews and famous actors. It’s becoming a popular site in downtown Worcester.

On Tuesday, the movie “Confess, Fletch” starring actor Jon Hamm was filming at several places in the city, like Cicero's Cafe on Suffolk Street and the Mercantile Center.

“Confess, Fletch” is a reboot of the original movie “Fletch” filmed in 1985 starring Chevy Chase and based on the 1974 novel “Fletch” by Gregory McDonald.

Hamm will play the titular character, Irwin M. "Fletch" Fletcher. He is also known for his role in the AMC hit television series, “Mad Men," which ran from 2007 to 2015.

As Spectrum News 1 reported last week, “Confess, Fletch” is just one of several major movies with scenes being filmed in Worcester this summer, including “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and “Spirited,” a musical take on “A Christmas Carol,” starring Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell.
