WORCESTER, Mass. - The largest women’s leadership conference in central Massachusetts returned in-person on Thursday.

The Worcester Women's Leadership Conference was held at the DCU Center after going virtual in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The conference featured several workshops with expert speakers and panelists who provided educational sessions, along with discussion involving topics relevant to female professionals.

Organizers say they are happy to finally be back in-person.

“Last year it was virtual, unfortunately. Still great to connect with people over Zoom just not as effective for meeting new people and getting together,” Dominique Goyette-Connerty, the Chamber’s Director of Communications, said. “To network, to hear keynote speakers...and some workshop speakers, and get everybody together to make connections, and feel inspired to empower women.

The conference is coordinated by the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Cynthia Marshall, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, and author and founder of the social movement Hello Fears, Michelle Poler were the keynote speakers at the conference.
