A major funding boost for the Manhattan Greenway Project.
The city has committed $101 million to develop the park in East Harlem.
The seven-acre park would lie between 125th and 132nd Streets in East Harlem.
It will include bicycle and pedestrian paths.
This is part of a long-term effort to create a 32-mile continuous path around Manhattan.
Back in April, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that the city would put $100 million toward an expansion of the Greenway in East Midtown.
The East Harlem Greenway project is expected to be finished in 2023.
