Five people were injured Sunday morning after a two-alarm fire broke out in a house in Queens, the city fire department said.

It happened around 7:47 a.m. at a home on 107th St. near 101st Ave. in Richmond Hill.

Firefighters were on the scene within three minutes and managed to rescue and eight-year-old girl, her mother, father, and uncle, according to authorities.

Fire department officials said the fire was on the second and third floors of the homes.

Five people were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The fire was under control by 8:29 a.m.

Sources said officials are investigating after discovering that the two-family house had been illegally converted to a five-family home.

A vacate order was issued for the house due to the fire severely damaging it, sources said, and the Red Cross is offering assistance to the people who lived in the home.
