STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Police are offering a $2,500 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in connection with the man who was shot dead on the Staten Island Expressway.

Carlos Alfonso, 23, died Monday night after being shot in the head multiple times.

He was found on the exit ramp at Slosson Avenue on the New Jersey bound side of the expressway.

Police say he was not in a car at the time, and it's unclear why he was on the expressway.

There have been no arrests, and now police are offering a reward to find who is responsible.

The Staten Island Advance reports that Alfonso was two months away from becoming a father.
