A Queens archiving program is collecting stories for its COVID-19 project.
Queens Memory, a program supported by the Queens Library and the Queens College Library, is asking Queens residents to share what life is like at the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic.

Each week, the group is asking people to answer different questions, such as what being alone has taught them or how they're supporting loved ones who are far away.
Organizers say it's important to gather these stories now as there are so many things people can easily forget.
"It's going to be really hard for those of us trying to tell people in the future who didn't live through this time, what it was really like to be alive in New York City and really in Queens at the epicenter of the pandemic,” director of the project Natalie Milbordt said.
The stories are currently being shared on the Queens Memory Instgram page.
