NEW YORK — This Friday marks 12 years since the "Miracle on the Hudson."

On January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 hit a flock of birds and lost all engine power shortly after takeoff from LaGuardia Airport.

Pilots Chesley Sullenberger and Jeffrey Skiles guided the plane safely into the Hudson River.

All 155 passengers and crew survived after being rescued by nearby ferries and Coast Guard boats.
