NEW YORK — Voters on Tuesday will be heading to the polls for a special election in the 68th Assembly District.

The district includes East Harlem, parts of Central Harlem and the Upper East Side.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The seat was formerly held by Robert J. Rodriguez until Gov. Kathy Hochul picked him to be secretary of state in November.

Democrat Edward Gibbs and Republican Daby Benjamine Carreras are now squaring off for the seat.

Carreras recently ran for city comptroller in November's election.

Early voting in the race ended on Sunday.
