AUSTIN, Texas – Authorities are urging the public to drive and ride safely this weekend as they see a spike in motorcycle crashes.

Early Saturday afternoon, Austin Travis County EMS said they were called to three separate motorcycle crashes in less than 45 minutes. All three riders were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but all of them are expected to survive.

Police urge everyone on the road to check and avoid blind spots and be mindful of the speed limit.
