AUSTIN, Texas —Austin police and the Lesbian and Gay Peace Officers’ Association are launching a social media campaign in honor of Pride Week.
The campaign is called "I Am Like You" and the goal is to build better understanding between the LGBTQ community and police.
A local news reporter and photographer came up with the idea.
This year's Pride parade is Saturday night at 8 at Fiesta Gardens in East Austin.
