AUSTIN, Texas -- Another year and there is another top five recruiting class for Texas.

  • Practice begins March 11
  • Spring game scheduled for April 13
  • Longhorns just added two new additions to the team

The Longhorns rounded out the latest recruiting cycle with two additions to the 24-man class.

The team officially announced Bru McCoy as a member of the group. The five-star athlete initially committed to and enrolled at USC, before opting to leave Los Angeles for Austin. The decision was in part thanks to some late changes on the Trojans staff. McCoy is enrolled at Texas and is taking classes.

Tom Herman and his staff finished off the class with the addition of Javonne Shepherd, a 4-star offensive lineman out of Houston. Shepherd solidified UT's spot as the third best in the 247 rankings.

Texas now turns its attention toward Spring Football. Practice begins on March 11 with the Spring Game set for April 13.
