As expected, temperatures dipped into the low and mid 20s in many of the Austin suburbs during the night, setting a new record low of 24 (previously 25 from 2014) at the Airport, and marking the coldest morning in our area since February 12th.  The forecast calls for a bright, dry and cool afternoon with highs in the low to mid 50s.

A few high clouds might be seen from time to time but, for most of the day, you'll likely be happy to have your sunshades.  Comfort levels will continue to increase as that biting northerly breeze gradually diminishes.

Look for clear, calm conditions tonight, a perfect setup for another light freeze in most areas through daybreak tomorrow.  It'll be close in the metro -- we're calling for 34 -- but many rural & Hill Country locations could dip into the mid and upper 20s once again.

Southwesterly winds return to the the region tomorrow and they'll help us warm back up to some 60s.  Then temps will top out near 70 both Friday and Saturday, putting us very close to the normal high of 72 for mid-November.

Moisture will surge back into the area during the day Saturday ahead of our next polar cold front, which is currently timed to arrive Sunday.  The rain chance is now up to 30% for the second half of the weekend, and it grows even higher early next week.  A Pacific disturbance is expected to move through the Lone Star State and we could be in for a pretty good round of rain.
