NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — At nearly 88 years old, Geny Heywood has had a lot of time to become a jack of all trades.
The painting, knitting, piano and harmonica-playing mother and grandmother is adding "published author in the Niagara Gazette" to her resume.
She's writing a new monthly column called "My View from 88," offering advice to seniors and even some words of wisdom to the younger generation.
Growing up in a French village occupied by Nazi soldiers, Heywood has a lot of stories to share. She's even met Picasso.
Heywood says she has a lot stories to tell before her final chapter is written. She can't wait to share them with Western New Yorkers.
