BUFFALO, N.Y – The Burchfield Penney Art Center’s latest exhibit, Mosaic is introducing Buffalo to undiscovered artists.

Hundreds curious minds attended Friday’s open house for the exhibit.

Organizers said some of the artwork come from artists who have been under the radar and others belong to immigrants and refugees who now call Western New York home.

Jericho Road, Inspired by Love and New Americans set up the event.

"We have people and that was our goal for this event; to really bring people from all levels of life, society, culture language to this event,” said Jericho Road Director of Community Engagement, Dr. Sara Safarzadeh-Amiri.

“That’s what art does.”

The ‘Mosaic’ display will remain at the art center throughout March.

Organizers hope to continue the showcase with a competition and a traveling art gallery.
