A youth hockey official has resigned after backlash continues from the handling of racist comments made by players.

A video captured in January at a Cheektowaga Warriors hockey game shows an African American player on the Amherst team being taunted with racial slurs.

The president of the New York State Amateur Hockey Association confirmed Monday that David Braunstein, the west section president of the association, resigned effective immediately.

He also says two players and the coach were suspended.
