The Saratoga City Center hosted 'Bark, Brew and Tattoos' on Saturday, an event that stands in solidarity with pitbulls, bulldogs and other misunderstood bully breeds.

Educational booths were set in the city center, along with brewery and tattoo booths encouraging dog lovers to have a brew and maybe get a tattoo while barking their support for the dogs.

Monica Harrington started the organization to educate the public about the abuse and discrimination she has seen against these breeds.

"Being a licensed vet tech I see a lot of breed discrimination I also have pits in my family who have experienced pre-discrimination I want to fight the good fight and extinguish the name for them," said Founder and President of Bark, Brew & Tattoo, Inc. Monica Harrington.

Harrington says she believes the dogs' bad reputation is due to owners not knowing how to train their dogs.

Harrington says all the funds raised during Saturday's event will go to animal shelters and 'NEADS World Class Service Dogs', which provides service dogs for veterans at no cost.
