SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The 11th Annual Burn Run was held in East Syracuse Sunday.

Proceeds are given to the Burn Foundation of Central New York.

The foundation helps children who have recovered from burn injuries attend a special summer camp.

It gives them the opportunity to interact with others that have suffered similar injuries and get support.

"Burns are some of the most horrific injuries a human body can endure. And to have so many people come out and support our survivors and the activities the Burn Foundation provides for them, we can't thank the community enough," says James Ennis, Burn Foundation of CNY chairman.

The funds from the race will allow up to a dozen kids go to camp next summer for free.
