The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office is calling on the community for help identifying a person who abandoned a cat near a dumpster.
Surveillance video shows a person placing a pet carrier near a dumpter at the Pinecrest Manor Apartments in the Town of Clay. It happened on February 1.
A resident later noticed a cat was inside the carrier.
It was only 13 degrees outside, according to police.
The cat was taken to the Liverpool Animal Hospital for treatment before being brought to the SPCA.
