CHARLOTTE -- The person shot near Frazier Park in uptown Charlotte Friday remains in serious condition.

• Happened on West First Street near Frazier Park
• Officers located victim with gunshot wounds
• A male subject of interest was located on scene and has been taken into custody

Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon and located the victim, Wayne Carrothers, with gunshot wounds once on the scene.

A male subject of interest was located on scene and has been taken into custody.
