CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have arrested one man for shooting at car over an argument about food at a Wendy’s on Sunset Road early Friday morning.

  • An argument led to a shooting at Wendy's.
  • An employee shot into a customer's car.
  • The employee was arrested. 
Police say no one was hit or injured by the shotgun.

Investigators say the man accused of shooting into that car is an employee at the fast food restaurant.

Officers were called out to the restaurant just before 1 a.m.

They say it all started when a woman got into an argument with an employee who was bringing her food.

The situation escalated and a male employee shot into the car with a shotgun.

The people fighting had minor injuries according to police.

The employee who fired the shotgun has been identified as Xavier McCree, 22, who has been charged with discharging a firearm within the city limits.
