BOONE, N.C. -- A new superstreet expected to reduce highway traffic is coming to Boone.
- New superstreet will reduce delays and collisions
- It will have bike lanes
- A public hearing about the project will be at Caldwell Community College Tuesday
The Department of Transportation has released its plans to build the superstreet on N.C. 105. NCDOT says a superstreet traffic pattern reduces delays and collisions by eliminating the need for left turns. The superstreet will also include a center divide and bike lanes.
There will be a public hearing about the project at Caldwell Community College at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
