GRIFTON, N.C. -- A Grifton police officer faces a judge after his arrest on child porn charges.
- The officer has only been with the department for a little over three weeks
- Arrest warrants say officials found numerous pictures of girls as young as 8
- Lovick is charged with eight counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor
Jason Lovick, 31, was charged with eight counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Craven County.
The SBI searched Lovick's home on Wednesday after receiving a tip that there was a Facebook account sending explicit images.
Arrest warrants say they found numerous pictures of girls believed to be as young as 8 years old.
According to the Grifton police chief, Lovick had only been with their department for just over three weeks.
