CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police are also investigating an attempted kidnapping in south Charlotte.

• A man attempted to kidnap a woman at a bus stop.
• He came behind her with a knife and ordered her to go with him.
• She fought him of fand escaped, but was cut on her face by the knife. 

They say a 23-year-old was waiting at a bus stop when a man came behind her with a knife and ordered her to go with him.

It happened at a bus stop on South Boulevard around 7:30 Sunday night.

Investigators say the woman fought off the victim, but was cut on her face by the knife and later to taken to the hospital.

The victim told police the man looked to be in his 40s with a muscular build and grey goatee wearing a blue hoodie, dark pants and a grey toboggan.
