Mike Kallmeyer sat down with Sen. Rob McColley, R-Napoleon, to discuss Senate Bill 52, which  to revise laws governing wind farms and solar facilities.

"With these renewable energy projects, they're so transformative in nature from the land use and up until now there's really been no local involvement or no meaningful local input into the process of how these projects are sited,” said McColley. “That's really what Senate Bill 52 was all about. It's saying, 'If we're going to repurpose thousands, if not tens of thousands of acres in some cases, we need to have meaningful local input on the front end as opposed to just simply having that local input disregarded through the Ohio Power Siting Board process."
