CLEVELAND — After ending a playoff drought that lasted almost two decades and defeating the rival Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs, the Cleveland Browns are welcoming a very excited fan base back to training camp.

What You Need To Know

  • The Cleveland Browns are offering free tickets to a limited number of fans to attend training camp

  • It’s an experience that fans missed out on last year, and are eager to have back

  • The 12 open practices take place through Aug. 7

“I’m really excited because this is my summer home. I feel like it’s the only place where I truly belong and feel welcomed,” said Browns fan Rebecca Browand.

Browand was the first person in line hours before gates opened at the Browns training camp.

Browand is one of many fans who got free tickets to see the team and is excited for football to feel a little more normal after a COVID-19-plagued 2020.

“It actually was very, very hard and challenging for me. I had to deal with depression a lot because of not being able to see friends, family, tailgating, especially tailgating. Kind of almost took me,” said Browand.

Tickets were distributed through a lottery system. Fans will have a first-come, first-served spot on bleacher seating. Masks are not required, but are recommended for those not vaccinated.

Browand is back to her 15-year tradition, taking notes to keep her occupied and showing off her collection of autographs.

She’s excited to see the fellow members of the Dawg Pound.

“I love the other fans because I think of them as family. And normally, I usually help little, little kids get autographs because that’s what it’s about for kids and families to have memories kind of like I do.”

Dates include July 30-31, Aug. 2-4, Aug. 6-8, Aug. 10-12, Aug. 17-18.
