An update on Woodstock 50, after questions surrounding if the anniversary concert at Watkins Glen was even going to happen.
Organizers announced they had secured a new financial advisor — the Oppenheimer and Company investment bank and brokerage — to pull money together for the festival.
This follows a partial legal victory earlier in the week, after financial backer Amplifi Live pulled support, citing multiple issues. They also announced the festival was cancelled.
Despite this, a court ruled Amplifi did not have the right to cancel the event.
The judge also ruled the company did not have to return about $18 million in funding that it took back.
Organizers say the event is still planned for Watkins Glen, on the weekend of August 16 to the 18.
