FORT MITCHELL, Ky. -- A middle school girl has joined the cause to help make masks.

During the day Audrey Rose, 12, goes to school, of course from home.

But in the afternoon or evenings, the 6th grader is sewing.

The Beechwood middle schooler says her grandmother teaches her through video calls.

“I use two different kinds of fabric, one flannel and one cotton. So I have two pieces right here. They’re nine by sixes, so this here will be cotton and this one here will be flannel,” Rose said.

The young student saidJoing at one point she had to pause on her sewing because she ran out of elastic.
