Temperatures have been above average this month, and additional warmth is heading our way.

What You Need To Know

  • This month has been mild so far

  • Mostly above-average temperatures stay likely

  • Highs probably reach the upper 50s

January has included several mild days for winter in Kentucky. Highs have reached the 50s several days, and recent weather outlooks from the Climate Prediction Center show that the warm trend will still be around in the coming days.

The 8-14 day outlook, which includes Jan. 18-24, indicates that the chance of seeing above-average temperatures is high. This means that our high temperatures will have greater odds of ranging into the upper 50s and possibly the lower 60s on some days that include extra sunshine.

For those who are not the biggest fans of the cold, this should be some good news!
