MILWAUKEE, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- In the wake of the Democratic National Convention, the Republican National Convention, days of unrest in Kenosha following the shooting of Jacob Blake and subsequent visits to Wisconsin by President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden and Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee Kamala Harris, surely something's changed in the race to win the White House here, right?

"There's very little change in this poll," Professor Charles Franklin, the Director of the Marquette Law School Poll, said Wednesday as he released the most recent polls results.

In the field August 30 through September 3 and with a margin of error of +/- 4 points, the poll:

    - has Biden leading Trump among likely voters in Wisconsin by 4 points (47% to 43%, right at the margin of error);

    - shows that support for the Black Lives Matter movement has fallen by 10 points since the poll in June;

    - indicates Governor Evers' approval rating has fallen from 65% in March now to 51%;

    - reflects parents' comfort level with their kids returning to school has dropped over the past couple of months, from 54% saying they were comfortable with it in June now to 43%.

"Lots going on in the world," Franklin said, "but [that] didn't shift opinions very much-- it didn't shift the vote and it didn't shift very many attitudes, but there are individual exceptions like Trump's visit to Kenosha seeming to have a pretty substantial effect, but only on his base voters, not on independents or those who lean to a party or people he might add to his existing coalition."
