We’ve watched showers and thunderstorms roll across the peninsula, with locally heavy rain already reported in some neighborhoods, and areas of dense fog developing early tomorrow.

Clouds quickly spread over the area early Tuesday, as a washed out front lifted back across central Florida and brought with it a decent amount of moisture.

Showers and storms produced over two inches of rain in parts of Brevard County, but the lingering showers ended early.

Plenty of moisture hangs around with areas of dense fog developing early Wednesday morning.

The weak front lingers through the afternoon, so rain chances are at 40 percent.

Another area of low pressure pushes toward the state on Thanksgiving Day, with showers likely along with a few embedded storms.

We’ll keep rain chances at 50 percent on Friday, then dry out for the upcoming weekend.

Highs climb to around 80 degrees on Wednesday and in the upper 70s Thursday, before dipping a bit heading into the weekend.

An east to east-southeast windswell and wave heights around three to four feet are expected.

You may have to dodge a few rain drops Wednesday, with better chances showers and storms may keep you out of the water Thursday.

The rip current threat lowers the next couple days.
