- 'Dunk for Downs' raises money for Down syndrome charity
- Red Bug Elementary teachers volunteered to get dunked
- School raised about $1,000 for charity
At Red Bug Elementary School, all of its teachers took part in “Dunk for Downs.”
Hundreds of students donated a dollar, and all that money will go to the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.
In return, the students got a chance to throw a ball and aimed to dump water on their teachers.
“It goes for a good cause, and the kids have a great time, and definitely the teachers have a great time as well,” said Kristin Beckus, a Red Bug Elementary third grade teacher.
The school raised about $ 1,000 for the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.
This is an annual event the elementary school holds.
