It wasn't bad weather-wise Monday, although highs were in the 50s in Flagler and parts of Volusia County, with 60s elsewhere.

High pressure to our north is sending another round of well-below-average air down over the Florida peninsula, and the chill is forecast to stick around through Friday.

We'll get through Tuesday with temperatures in the mid-60s up to around 70, then slightly cooler Wednesday with highs in the low to mid-60s.

A fast-moving cold front will bring a surge of even colder air by Wednesday night, with widespread frost and freeze conditions expected.

Thursday's highs will struggle even more, with highs in the 50s.

A weak system approaching from the west will provide an onshore flow Friday, with highs in the lower 60s, then even warmer air will return for the weekend with highs in the 70s.

It looks like it will be a sunny week overall, with a coastal shower chance by Friday night and Saturday, possibly a slight chance inland Sunday.

We'll see a couple of poor surfing days ahead, with an easterly swell and northeasterly windswell. Wave heights are set to climb around 3 to 4 feet, occasionally higher, but these waves will get pretty chopped up. The rip current threat is low to moderate, so make sure you’re watching the flags on top of open lifeguard stands. The UV index will be high on Tuesday.
