ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A man wearing Crocs-style shoes who jumped into a crocodile pit and was bitten at St. Augustine Alligator Farm last year has been sentenced to a year in jail.

Brandon Keith Hatfield, 23, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, pleaded no contest Friday to several charges, including trespassing and criminal mischief, court records show, according to the Associated Press.
St. Augustine Police say Hatfield was the man seen in surveillance video breaking into the Nile crocodile exhibit the evening of November 5 and jumping into the water. He was bitten on his feet and leg and treated for nonlife-threatening injuries at Flagler Hospital.
They said he caused more than $5,000 in damage at the attraction.
