ORLANDO, Fla. — A pedestrian was struck and killed at the intersection of Alafaya Trail and East Colonial Drive in Orlando on Monday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, was crossing Alafaya Trail when they walked into the path of a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro just after 8:30 p.m., troopers said.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 22-year-old Ayana Amos of Orlando, was wearing a seat belt and not hurt, FHP said.

No more information has been released. The crash remains under investigation.
