While this storm may remain tropical for a few days, it will stay away from the United States.
Elsewhere, it was a quiet start to our Tuesday, but temperatures quickly warmed into the 90s with a few afternoon storms.
While the storms were not widespread, there were some heavy downpours with gusty wind.
Rain chances will drop even more for Wednesday and the rest of our work week with only a 30 percent possibility during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will remain in the low 90s.
Most of Central Florida will be quiet overnight, but a few coastal showers will be possible as we head toward daybreak.

Expect partly cloudy skies elsewhere with temperatures falling into the mid-70s.
Our Wednesday will begin with plenty of sunshine and only a stray coastal shower. Those showers will begin to move inland during the afternoon. A downpour will be possible as a few storms move quickly west.
Temperatures will be hot, climbing into the low 90s, with the humidity making it feel closer to 100 degrees. This will be the forecast again Thursday and Friday before rain chances pick back up slightly this weekend.
Beach and Surf Conditions
Poor to fair surfing conditions for the start of our Wednesday. A small east-southeasterly trade swell and wave heights of only one to two feet are actually set to stick around for the remainder of the week.
The rip current threat stays low, so that’s great news for swimmers.
Tropical Update
In the tropics, low pressure well to the east of the United States became organized enough to be our third named storm of the season. Tropical Storm Chantal formed in the far north Atlantic Tuesday evening.
While this storm may remain tropical for a few days, it will stay away from the United States. There are no other concerns in the tropics at this time.
The peak of hurricane season is not until Sept. 10 and it runs all the way through November 30.
