ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- For 32 years, pharmacist Mohammad Chhipa has been filling prescriptions for people at his store in Rochester's Jefferson Avenue neighborhood.

He installed security glass years ago after he was robbed for the fourth time at gunpoint.

This time, burglars decided to make an "entrance" by crashing through a section of the pharmacy's front wall after it closed for the day.

Chhipa says the burglar took off with two boxes full of customer prescriptions ready for pick-up.

"It is sad, it is really really sad because this pharmacy has been here for so many years," Chhipa said. It is really getting dangerous now, I don't know."

Crime has forced Chhipa to scale down services here; no more lottery or money orders.

He still stocks greeting cards, gum and other items just in case his customers need something, like a free pair of shoes. "Thank You" cards dot the store walls as well. It's that good-natured business that has kept customers like Terry Holland coming to the pharmacy for more than three decades.

"He is a  great guy, he will do anything for you," Holland said. "He is an awesome guy. It makes me sad really sad too. We need him here. We really do."

So far Rochester police have not made any arrests or located the vehicle that damaged the store.

Authorities are reviewing any and all surveillance camera footage for leads.

" It could of been worse so I thank God OK. I will just move on, I will just move on you know that's all," Chhipa said. "What can you do? What can you say? There are good people and there are bad people."

Chipa is keeping his pharmacy open as scheduled, six days a week, for now.
