ROCHESTER, N.Y. —The Irondequoit restaurant owner arrested on gun charges and making a terroristic threat last December remains in a psychiatric center after an evaluation found he was not competent to stand trial.

Necati Harsit faces multiple loaded firearms charges following an incident at a bank in Irondequoit last year.

He was scheduled to appear in court today.

His case was adjourned because he remains under medical supervision and not able to understand the charges against him.

Police say Harsit took three guns out of a safe deposit box and made threatening remarks.

A bank employee called police.

Authorities later recovered the weapons along with a machete.

Harsit served time in a state psychiatric hospital back in 2002 after he threatened to kill a judge.

He's scheduled to return to court next month to determine if he is competent at that time.

Harsit was the owner of East Ridge Hots.
