ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester City School District says the recently passed state budget includes nearly $370 million in additional funding for the district over the next three years.

Officials say $83 million will go toward the district's yearly budget, increasing it from $620 million last year to $704 million this year. Another $87 million is in the form of COVID-19 supplemental relief.

Lastly, $197 million is part of the American Rescue Plan, which includes stipulations on how the district can spend the money, including the way it keeps students safe during COVID-19.
