BROCKPORT, N.Y. — The Corning GlassBarge has made its way up the Erie Canal to the Rochester area to give people a close-up look at how glass is made.
The GlassBarge has spent time on the water traveling for the last four months and is spending the weekend in Brockport at the Welcome Center. They're holding 30-minute glass-making demonstrations, blowing glass live, and teaching people the art, science and history behind one of the most ancient man-made materials.
Demonstrations are Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Brockport Welcome Center.
If you’re looking for more than a demonstration, The Corning Museum of Glass will provide a firsthand experience at glass making.
