LA VERNIA, Texas — La Vernia Independent School District’s superintendent is resuming his duties.

• Trent Lovette will resume his job
• Board met for more than 3 hours
• Board has not released reason for suspension

The board decided not to fire Trent Lovette, who had been on paid administrative leave since November 19.

The board was in executive session for more than three hours Tuesday night after which they announced their decision.

The board has not released why Lovette was suspended in the first place.

This is his first year with the district.
