SAN ANTONIO -- As the Austin area and much of Central Texas got hammered by rain Friday night, storms began moving into the San Antonio area.

Spectrum News meteorologist Adam Krueger said an estimated one to two and a half inches fell across the city Friday.
The strongest winds occurred from New Braunfels to Seguin with gusts measuing about 47 miles per hour at one point.
Following the Special Olympics Texas opening ceremony at Toyota Field, rain and lightning filled the sky. It was pouring a few minutes later.
