SAN ANTONIO — The U.S. Air Force Wounded Warrior Program hosted a resilience tactical pause at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Tuesday.

It's an official order from the Air Force to take a wellness day, to help create a culture of connectedness and to address the high rate of suicide.

“The Air Force is really trying to step forward and make a proactive approach and prevent more suicides in the future,” Lisa Goad with the Wounded Warrior program said.

Several Air Force Wounded Warrior Ambassadors shared their deeply personal stories of resiliency with others who have supported them along their journey to recovery.
